Hello! I am Leana, and I am the founder of Creekside Comforts Co.

 

I started the company in 2019 when I discovered Minky fabric and the type of beautiful products that could be made from it. All products are handmade by myself from my home in Petersfield, Manitoba. The name Creekside Comforts Co. reflects the location of my home and business near Netley Creek, and my passion to create products that bring comfort to customers of all ages.

When I am not busy sewing, I work full time as a Vehicle Application Specialist for New Flyer Industries.  I have been married for 32 years and have two amazing young adult children who I am extremely proud of.  My daughter Kelsey, who has her degree in Interior Design, is my assistant and sounding board for all matters related to marketing, craft show booth design and the design and creation of this website.  I honestly could not do this without her invaluable support.

Working full time along with running a small business and being the sole maker of all products can be challenging at times.  For this reason, I have to limit accepting custom orders and instead focus on creating new ready to ship inventory for this site and for local Winnipeg Craft Shows and Markets.  I love to participate in local markets and sharing my love of Minky in person.
